Insider Tracker
Track smart money — insider trades, 13F holdings, congressional trades, and major shareholder changes, flagged for conviction and timing.
Methodology
Insider trading (Form 4)
Company executives, directors, and 10%-plus shareholders buying or selling. Signals are filtered for cluster buying (multiple insiders trading the same name within a short window), the C-suite vs director split (CEO / CFO purchases carry more weight than director trades), and size relative to existing holdings — a $5M purchase from someone holding $10M is meaningful; the same size from someone holding $500M is noise.
Institutional holdings (13F)
Quarterly filings by institutional investors managing over $100M. The quarter-over-quarter delta surfaces who is adding and cutting at scale — new positions from notable funds (Berkshire, Bridgewater, top hedge funds) are flagged, along with concentration changes and sudden exits that often precede sentiment shifts.
Congressional trades
US Senate and House members' stock trades disclosed under the STOCK Act. The tracker highlights trades near relevant legislation, committee members trading in their oversight domain, and cluster activity across members — patterns that occasionally front-run policy announcements by weeks.
Shareholder and stake changes
Major shareholder increases and decreases, top-10 holder rotations, new entries by state and pension funds, and pledge-ratio movements. Unusual activity in a concentrated holder base is often an earlier signal than news headlines, because large holders move before the story breaks.
Conviction and timing filters
Every raw signal is contextualized before it is called a signal. Insider selling alone is not bearish — taxes, diversification, and pre-set 10b5-1 plans explain most of it. 13F is 45 days delayed, so the position shown is already stale when you see it. Timing patterns and relative size matter more than raw counts, and the tracker surfaces that context explicitly.
