Notion’s official hosted MCP server connects compatible AI assistants to the user’s Notion workspace. Users can search workspace content; retrieve pages, databases, data sources, schemas, properties, and templates; and create or update pages with structured content. When Notion AI connectors are available, searches can also cover connected sources such as Slack, Google Drive, and Jira. This enables workflows such as drafting product requirements, technical specifications, research documents, meeting notes, project updates, release notes, campaign briefs, and task databases. The server uses OAuth and operates with the authenticated user’s existing Notion permissions, so connected AI applications can access only the content available to that user. Enterprise administrators can control which MCP clients are approved. The official remote server is hosted and maintained by Notion, requires interactive user authorization, and currently does not support image or file uploads. Standard Notion API rate limits apply.
